About Jyuncing Taoist House

The name Jyuncing (玄清) embodies profound principles within the Taoist tradition.

The character Jyun (玄) refers to the profound and mysterious principle of the universe. It is the Gate of Mystery, embracing and encompassing the myriad things of Heaven and Earth. It represents the natural operation of the Tao and the profound principle through which all things arise and transform.
The character Cing (清) is associated with clarity and purity. Like water, which does not contend yet nourishes all things, Qing represents purity, tranquility, and the virtue of non-contention. Water receives the Qi of the clouds and flows according to the natural course of Heaven and Earth.
Thus, the name Jyuncing expresses the profound principle of attaining the One, elucidating the Supreme Tao of Heaven and Earth, honoring virtue, and cultivating oneself through practice. With this principle as its foundation, Jyuncing House was established by the Taoist priest with the intention of carrying forward the Tao, cultivating virtue and practice, assisting people in times of difficulty, and serving the purpose of universal salvation.

Jyuncing House is rooted in the traditions of Zhengyi Taoism and the Hunyuan lineage. Its lineage traces its origins to Heming Mountain in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and subsequently continued through the orthodox transmission of Longhushan (Mount Longhu).
Following a period in which the lineage transmission was interrupted, it was restored through the efforts of the 30th Celestial Master, Zhang Xujing. The transmission was subsequently continued by the 50th Celestial Master, who returned to Bashu and further carried forward the Taoist tradition there.
In the course of its transmission, the lineage also received and incorporated the Shenxiao Thunder Method and the lineage teachings of Lu Zhenren. It subsequently came into contact with and integrated teachings of the Quanzhen tradition, from which further branches of transmission developed. Through successive generations of transmission, various scriptures, talismans, ritual methods, internal cultivation practices, and methods of spiritual cultivation were preserved and passed down.

The tradition of Jyuncing House encompasses the study and practice of Taoist scriptures, talismans, ritual methods, internal cultivation, visualization practices, and other traditional Taoist disciplines. Its teachings also include the study and transmission of such traditions as Hunyuan, Shenxiao, and Yuyin, together with their corresponding scriptures and ritual methods.

Taoist cultivation is not limited to the performance of external rituals. It also places importance on the cultivation of one's own virtue, mind, and spiritual practice, seeking to understand the principles of Heaven and Earth and to follow the natural operation of the Tao. Through the study of scriptures, the cultivation of virtue, ritual practice, internal cultivation, and the transmission of traditional teachings, practitioners seek to deepen their understanding of the Tao and cultivate themselves in accordance with its principles.

From an early age, the priest experienced a profound connection with spiritual matters and developed an inclination toward Taoist cultivation.
During the course of his cultivation, he encountered an ancient book of talismanic teachings and subsequently received instruction through a dream in which Lao Jun appeared and imparted teachings. Through these experiences, he came into contact with what is described within the tradition as the art of communicating with the divine (通神之术).Thereafter, he continued to seek teachers and teachers of the Tao, eventually encountering those from whom he received further instruction and transmission. Through these encounters, he inherited the methods and teachings of the Hunyuan tradition, and subsequently received the transmission associated with the Shangqing San Dong Wu Lei Jing Lu (上清三洞五雷经箓).
These transmissions became an important foundation for his continued cultivation and practice. The purpose of learning and practicing these Taoist teachings is not merely for one's own cultivation, but also to use what has been learned to assist those who encounter difficulties and afflictions in life.
The establishment of Jyuncing House arises from a wish to continue the Taoist tradition, uphold virtue, cultivate the self, and serve people through the teachings and practices of Taoism. The path of Taoist cultivation emphasizes respecting Heaven, honoring virtue, cultivating oneself, and benefiting others.

Jyuncing House welcomes those who form a connection with the Tao and sincerely seek its teachings.
Whether through Taoist scriptures, ritual ceremonies, talismanic traditions, spiritual cultivation, or other traditional practices, the intention is to preserve the teachings handed down through the lineage and allow their principles to continue to be practiced and transmitted. We seek good affinities and wholesome connections, aspire to benefit all beings, and hope to assist those who encounter difficulties and afflictions.

May those who come into contact with Jyuncing House find peace and safety, smoothness in their affairs, prosperity in their endeavors, and the blessings of Heaven and the Tao.
